Salman Khan receives fresh death threat with demand for ₹2 crore ransom

In a new wave of threats against Bollywood star Salman Khan, Mumbai Traffic Control received an anonymous message threatening the actor’s life if he fails to pay ₹ 2 crore in ransom, sources reveal. Mumbai Police have filed a case against an unidentified individual under extortion and death threat-related sections of the law, initiating an active investigation.

The recent threat follows the arrest of a 20-year-old man from Noida, Gufran Khan, in connection with threats made against Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of former NCP MLA Baba Siddique. Baba Siddique was tragically shot dead in Mumbai on October 12. Authorities have taken Gufran Khan into custody in Mumbai under a transit remand.

Earlier, Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a 24-year-old vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur, was detained after he allegedly sent a threatening message to Mumbai traffic police’s WhatsApp helpline, demanding ₹ 5 crore as ransom.

The actor has faced threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the past, reportedly due to his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain. In a concerning incident earlier this year, suspected gang members opened fire outside Khan’s Bandra residence in April. As a result, security around the actor has been tightened to ensure his safety amid the rising death threats.

Salman Khan’s connection with the Siddique family is well-known. Baba Siddique, a close associate of Khan, was fatally shot near his son’s office in Mumbai, further heightening concerns around the actor’s safety.

Appearing on Bigg Boss 18 shortly after the Siddique family’s loss, Salman Khan admitted he was deeply affected by the recent events. He revealed that returning to the show was a tough decision but felt compelled to honor his work commitments during this challenging period.

Mumbai Police continue to monitor the situation closely as the investigation progresses, aiming to bring those responsible for the threats and recent violent incidents to justice
